Katie Pendleton's Great North Run

Katie Pendleton

On Sunday 5th October Hannah's cousin Katie will take part in the BUPA Great North Run.

Katie says:
"I am running in order to raise money for the  Meningitis Research Foundation. We are only a few years away from finding a vaccine for meningitis type B and this vaccine will save the lives of hundreds of children.

I am not a natural runner so the 13 mile run will be a great challenge for me. I would be so grateful if you could support my run by sponsoring me. My target is £500 and in the words of ASDA "every little helps".

She has set up a page at Just Giving where you can make a donation.
She has also set up a Facebook page where you can see who is supporting her.

The BUPA Great North Run is the world's most popular half marathon road running event. Participants run between Newcastle upon Tyne and South Shields in England. The run was devised by former Olympic 10,000 m bronze medallist and BBC Sport commentator Brendan Foster.
