Miriam Langseth joins the Great North Run

Miriam Langseth

On Sunday 5th October Miriam will join Her friend Katie to take part in the BUPA Great North Run

Miriam says: Inspired by my housemate, Katie, I have started training for the BUPA Great North Run on October 5th. She recently lost a young and healthy family member to meningitis. The GNR is a great opportunity to raise money for the Meningitis Research Foundation.

The Great North Run is 21km and the largest mass-participation half marathon in the world. Won't be easy...

I am VERY thankful to anyone that would like to sponsor me

She has set up a page at Just Giving where you can make a donation.
She has also set up a Facebook page where you can see who is supporting her.

The BUPA Great North Run is the world's most popular half marathon road running event. Participants run between Newcastle upon Tyne and South Shields in England. The run was devised by former Olympic 10,000 m bronze medallist and BBC Sport commentator Brendan Foster.
